- De Andres Sisters La Vina Del BU LU
LÚ Garnacha Spain $12 Castilla y Leon
100% old vine Garnacha. Organic
farming. Native yeast in concrete, and
short aging. For centuries now,
vintners in the dry and arid regions
of Europe have been growing the purple
skinned fruits of the Grenache vines
for use in a wide range of different
wines. Their influence and popularity
led to them found all over the
Americas in any region with the
correct climatic conditions for them
to thrive in, away from the damp or
wet weather which causes this varietal
to easily rot. Grenache grapes, prized
because of their spicy berry flavors,
and the fact that they have a high
alcohol content in the bottle. This
has led to as a blending grape,
although single variety bottles are
also common and make light body and
interesting, rich flavors.

of a blend of Malbec, Cabernet
Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc,
Petit Verdot, and Syrah.
- 2016 Hacienda Lopez De Haro Rioja

oak combined with spicy, minty berry
and cherry scents make for a good
opening. A full palate balanced by
healthy acidity, while this wine
tastes of plum, berry fruits, vanilla,
and tobacco. A solid finish.

Aromatics of sweet herbs and forest
fl¬oor lead to fl¬avors of blueberry,
cherry, and milk chocolate. This

dusty, earthy notes paired with mixed
berry pie. This is a savory
Cabernet so will pair well with fatty

most mild cheeses. “Th is is a

- 2019 Pago Casa Gran Malvasia $11
100% organic Believed to be of Greek
origin, the Malvasia family has been
commercially important to the
Mediterranean for more than 2000
years. Malvasia, the name, is a
derivation of the coastal Greek town
of Monemvasia, where the Venetians had
a strategically important fortress and
trading post during the time of their
empire. Malvasia is an ancient family
of grapes that includes a diverse
collection of noble varieties. These
grapes are capable of producing wine
of any feasible color in dry,
sparkling and sweet styles. This
Malvasia is dry, juicy, light and
refreshing.
- 2020 Nobilo Sauvignon Blanc, New
Zealand $13 Crisp with flavors of
melon and grapefruit, this is a staple
wine in our home. It’s not too tart
but just enough and goes well with
fish, shellfish, chicken and Italian
or French dishes. Also, as the fun in
the sun porch pounder. Screw Cap
- 2020 Casa Santos Lima Portuga Rose
Portugal $9 A rosé that celebrates the
Portuguese skill at blending grapes
when making wine, this is attractively
crisp and textured. Its red currant
flavors are bright, and the wine is
light and full of fruitiness.
- 2017 Valcan Chardonnay Willamette
Valley $15 2020 marks the 40th
anniversary of Steve Houston planting
his namesake sit soon after graduating
from the University of
California-Davis’s viticulture
program. Valot barrel ferments the
clone 108 Chardonnay, which Houston
planted just a year after his arrival.
There’s a light tropical note to the
aromas of Bosc pear, starfruit and a
slice of fresh marshmallow. Those
hints are on the palate where there’s
an enjoyable structure that adds
jasmine and lingering lemon oil to the
delicious finish. Outstanding!
